Our Woodlands Poncho is one of our original designs hand knitted by us on our old farm in Northern NSW. It is a one of a kind, hand knit.
Knitted from our naturally dyed merino Harvest Wool, this poncho has been knitted with 2 x strands on 12mm handcrafted timber needles giving it a more open, soft chunky texture, just under 500 grams in total.
The natural colours Golden, Jade, Poppy, Blue and Cascade have been combined in freestyle knitting using fair isle, moss stitch, garter stitch etc.
The fringing add depth and texture.
We have called it Woodlands, inspired by natures colours and textures, perfect to keep you cosy this winter.
Measurements: Width: 65cm square/ on the diagonal 90cm .
Please treat your hand made garment gently.
Please note that initially there may be some plant and colour residue form our naturally dyed wool.
Your first wash will probably leach some colour and plant residue, after the first one or two washes residue should have washed out.
If this bothers you please wash before wearing, or take care just to wear darker clothing underneath your handmade garment until it has been washed out.
Please gently hand wash in cool water with wool wash, after hand washing and rinsing you may spin your woollen garment in the machine on a GENTLE SPIN.
Dry inside out in the shade.
Thank you for treading lightly and supporting slow hand made, natural fashion.
